So after you've delivered your baby by caesarean section, there are a few adjustments you need to make to your exercise program.
The first thing to remember is they generally do not want you lifting anything heavier than your baby for the first six weeks after you've delivered. That being said, you can still do your core and pelvic floor exercises much sooner than that, as soon as a week or two later.
It's quite fine to start an easy postnatal yoga program or easy postnatal Pilates as soon as you feel well enough to do it.
If you have any questions about which exercises you should be doing, either after a caesarean section or a vaginal delivery, contact your healthcare provider.
