Dr. Broughton is a family physician at the Copeman Healthcare Centre with over thirty years of medical experience. His medical degree and post-graduate training were completed at the University of Western Ontario. He had a private practice on Vancouver’s west side for 18 years. For 7 years he was a primary care physician at Ravensong Community Health Centre, doing team-based care for underserviced populations with complex and multiple chronic diseases. Interests include men’s health issues, infectious disease, mental health and cancer. Dr. Steve Broughton is a highly experienced, passionate Physician who cares deeply for his patients and enjoys helping them understand their health and wellness so they can make well informed decisions. Collaboration within the Harrison team is important to him, as he leverages the different skills and knowledge of other practitioners to support his patients in achieving their goals. It’s been a successful day when he knows he’s been able to provide his clients with reassurance and allay any anxiety they may have. Dr. Broughton graduated in 1981 with his MD from Western University in London, Ontario. He worked in private practice on Vancouver’s west side for almost two decades. He has served on the NP Practice Standards Committee and several advisory committees supporting IT for Vancouver Coastal Health.
