DR. DARRELL YIP FAMILY PHYSICIAN BScPT, MD, CCFP, Dip Sport Med​ ​ Dr. Darrell Yip is a family physician with a diploma in Sport Medicine, practicing in Calgary, Alberta. He earned his first degree in physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia and has worked as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for acute stroke and rehabilitation patients. In addition to his work in the hospital, Dr Yip worked as a physiotherapist in an outpatient setting providing care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries. He was also involved in providing home care physiotherapy for patients with mobility impairments. ​ Dr. Yip completed Medical School at the University of British Columbia with a residency in Family Medicine through the University of Calgary. He has obtained the CASEM Diploma in Exercise and Sport Medicine. He has worked with a variety of organizations and sports including: Canada Men’s National Rugby Union Team, Canada Men’s National Para Hockey Team, Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Roughnecks, and Calgary Combative Sports Commission (mixed martial arts, boxing, and kickboxing). ​ Dr. Yip has been involved with sport since a young age and was a member of the Canadian Men’s Junior National Field Hockey Team and University of British Columbia Men’s Varsity Field Hockey Team. He is a NCCP certified level 3 coach and has worked with athletes at the local, provincial, and national levels. ​
