There's a lot of great tools that we use in recovery and regeneration these days that kind of allow us to transition the work that we do in the clinic to the client's home.
One of the tools that I frequently use is this simple foot roller that you sort of put on the base of your foot and you sort of roll your foot back and forth on it.
What this does is it helps relax all the tissue and the muscles on the bottom of the foot, especially we spend a lot of time weight bearing throughout our day. By getting those muscles more supple and relaxed your whole body can actually function a little bit better.
There's a lot of sensors at the bottom of the foot that tell the brain how to contract all the muscles, and I find this one of the greatest tools to get the whole system jumping and moving.
