Hello! My name is Jen Strilchuk. I live in Abbotsford BC with my wonderfully supportive husband and 6 children! My journey began when my first born son was placed on my chest immediately after he was born. I felt so empowered and amazing! I remember thinking to myself that I want to find a job where I can surround myself with pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding… I didn’t have a clue what that might be but I knew my dream job was out there somewhere…I felt a calling! When my best friend became pregnant, I attended her birth and provided labor support for her. I felt so honored to be invited to her birth and the experience left me feeling once again so awed by the strength of women and the miracle of birth…I knew what my dream job was going to be! I took my Dona certified training at Douglas College in 1999 and haven’t looked back! I have a love of learning and am incredibly passionate about pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding...this has led me to enhance my knowledge and expand my experience through continuous, ongoing education in the form of personal exploration, workshops, lectures and conferences. I have over 16 years’ experience as a Perinatal Consultant with a background in holistic nutrition and health. I bring my own deep experience as a mother of six children to my practice and am honored to offer a continuum of care as you awaken into your new identity as parents. It is a privilege for me to support you and your partner in this profound transition as you celebrate the life within you and your initiation into parenthood. Currently I offer private prenatal education, birth and postpartum doula services and breastfeeding counseling throughout the Fraser Valley…Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Aldergrove and Langley areas.
