As a chiropractor, Dr. Myles Wardrope is a Musculo-skeletal expert who has been trained in treating conditions that involve your muscles, joints, ligaments, discs, and some neurological conditions that come from entrapments. Dr. Myles treats using spinal manipulative therapy, joint mobilizations, muscle release therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy and thumper vibration. He also puts an emphasis on education surrounding your diagnosis and providing rehabilitation movements and exercises to allow self management of pain. In particular, Dr. Myles excels at treating cervical/thoracic/lumbar disc protrusions, bulges, and herniations. Often times these conditions can present with local pain and pain that travels into your arms or legs. By using the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) he is able to adhere to best practice guidelines by establishing a directional preference to reduce the limb pain and the spinal pain in these conditions. Dr. Myles is working to complete his MDT certification and has completed 3 out of the 4 training courses. MDT is a comprehensive assessment and management approach based on sound and logical principles that focuses on the patient and their potential to self-manage and recover their previous level of function. It is an internationally researched and acclaimed system of assessment and management for spinal and extremity musculoskeletal disorders developed by New Zealand Physiotherapist Robin McKenzie. It has been widely used all over the world for more than 60 years.
