Dr. Kyle Bendell Bio

Dr. Kyle Bendell, a native of Uxbridge, has always had a strong connection to his community. His early exposure to regular chiropractic care, which helped him overcome sports injuries, ignited his interest in health and physical performance. Dr. Bendell pursued his education at the University of Windsor, where he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree (Hon BHK). During his time there, he was actively involved in varsity volleyball and also became a personal trainer. Seeking further knowledge, he attended Bangor University in Wales, UK, and earned a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology (MRes). His research focused on studying the effects of dehydration on physical performance and cardiac tissue. Dr. Bendell gained valuable insights into the body's systems and their interactions through performance testing conducted on triathletes and long-distance runners. To expand his expertise, Dr. Bendell pursued a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree at New York Chiropractic College. During his studies, he completed advanced diplomas in Sport Science and Human Performance, as well as Whole Food Nutrition, graduating with honors on the Dean's list. While in New York, he generously volunteered his time as an NCAA Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) at Hobart and William Smith College. In recent years, Dr. Bendell practiced at a well-established clinic in Belleville, Ontario, and served as a faculty member in the Fitness and Health Department at Loyalist College. His teaching responsibilities included subjects such as Human Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Fitness Assessment, and Chronic Disease. Dr. Bendell has continued to expand his knowledge and skills by completing various courses in Medical Acupuncture, Functional Anatomy, Activator Method, Prague School of Athletic Development, Thompson Technique, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Graston technique, and more. Dr. Bendell is deeply passionate about patient education and empowerment, encouraging individuals to actively participate in their own health journey. With experience working with children, families, geriatric patients, and professional athletes, he has developed a diverse skill set that allows him to help patients preserve, maintain, and improve their overall well-being and physical performance. He believes in treating the whole body by harmonizing and balancing the interdependent systems to achieve enhanced form and function. During his leisure time, Dr. Bendell enjoys staying active by working out at the gym and engaging in sports such as golf, hockey, and volleyball. He also cherishes time spent at his family cottage, embracing the serenity of nature. Dr. Bendell is excited to return to his hometown and is eager to serve the Uxbridge community once again.
