Dr. Ellen Chin is a highly experienced chiropractor with over fifteen years of active practice. She obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and Certification in Acupuncture in 2002 and has since been dedicated to providing comprehensive patient care. Prior to pursuing chiropractic studies, Dr. Chin earned an Honours Bachelor Degree in Nutrition from the University of Toronto in 1999, graduating with distinction. Throughout her career, she has continually expanded her knowledge and skills through additional coursework in various areas, including soft tissue therapy techniques, acupressure, cupping, Thompson technique, Active Release Therapy, Activator method, Graston technique, Kinesio-taping, rehabilitation, golf injury treatment, prenatal and postnatal care, and cranio-sacral therapy. Dr. Chin grew up in Markham, Ontario, and has been residing and practicing in Uxbridge since 2003. During her teenage years, she volunteered at a rehabilitation clinic in Toronto, where she witnessed the remarkable benefits of chiropractic treatment and acupuncture for patients with cerebral palsy and autism. This experience ignited her passion for a career in healthcare, with a focus on addressing the underlying condition and treating the patient as a whole. Dr. Chin believes in developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for her patients. These plans may include a combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, ergonomic modifications, nutrition counseling, rehabilitation exercises, custom orthotics, laser therapy, and acupuncture. She has extensive experience in prenatal and postnatal care, providing safe and gentle techniques to improve mobility and reduce spinal stress during and after pregnancy. Dr. Chin also works with pediatric patients, helping children of all ages reach their full physical potential through regular chiropractic care. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Chin enjoys raising her three children alongside her husband, who is also a healthcare professional. They take pride in living and working in the vibrant town of Uxbridge. Dr. Chin actively supports the Ghana Health Team Mission, which involves sending a healthcare team from Uxbridge to provide care to remote villages in Ghana, Africa. She engages in a variety of activities such as volunteering, participating in outdoor sports, playing musical instruments, and spending quality time with friends and family.
