It's crucial to continue receiving vaccinations throughout life to protect against infectious diseases that haven't been eradicated and to maintain immunity against those for which immunity wanes over time.

The emergence of antibiotic resistance has indeed made the treatment of certain infections more challenging. Vaccination plays a critical role in preventing infections in the first place, reducing the need for antibiotics and helping to curb the development of antibiotic resistance.

Some vaccines, like the tetanus vaccine, require booster shots because the immunity they provide gradually decreases over time. By staying up to date with such vaccinations, adults can ensure they maintain optimal protection against preventable diseases.

Moreover, adult immunization has broader benefits beyond personal protection. By getting vaccinated, healthy adults contribute to the concept of herd immunity. This means that when a significant portion of the population is immune to a disease, it creates a protective barrier that helps prevent its spread and protects those who are most vulnerable, such as young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

It's important to have open and regular discussions about immunization with primary healthcare providers. They can provide guidance on the appropriate vaccines and schedules based on individual health status, age, occupation, travel plans, and other relevant factors. By staying proactive and getting vaccinated as adults, we can collectively reduce the burden of infectious diseases and help protect ourselves and others.

I was a patient of this so-called Ashfaq from August 2014 to July 15th, 2019. She was nice to me when she was at Access Norwest Clinic. She was working full time there. Then, she worked from morning to 3:00 pm at some clinic on Ellice Avenue, I asked her why, she told me “There’s more money there”. In April 14th, she gave me a sticker and her business cards. She asked me to place the sticker to a community centre so people will see that she’s also working at some place on Marion St. On September 18th, 2019, when I phoned her clinic at Access Norwest, I was told she no longer works there. On October 2nd, 2019, I found where she worked; at Medicare Clinic in The Maples. When I saw her on October 17th, 2019, she yelled at me, and told me that as far as she’s concerned, I’m no longer her patient from the time she left Access Norwest on Keewatin. She also refused to give me my painkillers one day early; albeit, the pharmacists both said they will give them to me, provide Ashfac okays it. I begged her, but she yelled at me in front of about 40 people, (95 % of them are Muslims like her). She only allows each customer, (that’s how she treats patients), less than 15 minutes. My appointment on 10/17/19 was 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm; I wasn’t seen by this GREEDY doctor, who could barely speak English, until 1:45 pm. I thought she was nice when she was at Access Norwest. Her true colour shows now. She’s like Dr. Praful Patel who’s money hungry, and became a millionaire. I heard he has a multi-million dollar mansion in the Carribean! DO NOT GO TO BUSHRA ASFAQ.
