Courtenay Go Bio
Courtenay completed a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology, with a focus in Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling at the University of British Columbia. For as long as she can remember, she has enjoyed helping others. Prior to forging a career path as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant and Register Clinical Counsellor, Courtenay worked for various non-profit, community-based programs as a Youth Support Worker, supporting youth with co-occurring disorders in the attainment of their educational and vocational pursuits as well as in the development of life skills to help them be successful when they transition out of care into either a semi-independent or independent living arrangement. Courtenay has also had the opportunity to work with incarcerated adult males at provincial correctional facilities who have been remanded or sentenced for offences committed in the community.
Courtenay has experience working with clients, both youth and adults, who face a wide range of disabling conditions including: chronic pain, soft tissue injuries, addictions, mental health, and individuals who present with co-occurring disorders. She has also worked with individuals seeking support with return to work and overcoming the barriers that may be present as a result of their ongoing residual limitations. Courtenay is a registered member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and is a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional.
