Foods and Diet When Conceiving Duration: 1 minute, 12 seconds

When you're trying to get pregnant your diet should basically be the same as if you are pregnant, so it's important to remember that you take a vitamin that has at least 1 milligram of folic acid.

You should be avoiding the large fish that contain the mercury as well as the unpasteurized cheeses. It's important that your diet is balanced: fruit, vegetables, carbohydrates and protein, and you also avoid caffeine and alcohol.

The rationale for that is you don't really know when you are going to conceive, so behave as if you are pregnant during this stage.

If you are trying to get pregnant and have questions about what you should and should not be eating, and what supplements you should be taking, please contact your healthcare provider.
