A local podiatrist is a medical professional who treats foot conditions as well as conditions of the ankle and lower leg.

Orthotics can be made from a variety of materials, including foam, plastic, or carbon fiber, and they come in different styles and designs to suit different footwear types. They are usually worn inside your shoes or sneakers and should be used consistently as prescribed by your healthcare professional to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.

It's important to note that while orthotics can be beneficial for many people, they may not be necessary or appropriate for everyone. If you're experiencing foot, leg, or back problems, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional who can evaluate your condition and determine whether orthotics are a suitable part of your treatment plan.
