Mel Cronshaw Bio

Mel Cronshaw, BSc (Hons), NNCP, ANutr Natural Clinical Nutrition Provider For many years, food and nutrition have been my number one interest, pass time, hobby, and passion. A self-taught chef, I have always loved everything foodie because let’s face it, food is one of the best joys in life. But somehow the misconception developed that healthy food resembles something like cardboard, and is seen as a punishment. Whereas “junk” food is seen as a reward or treat. It is this mindset I aim to change in everyone I see. The healthiest foods can deliver all the pleasure and enjoyment we need while restoring the health and balance that the mind and body need to function at an optimal level. It is common practice that I include recipes in my plans to help build my client’s confidence in the kitchen and get them excited about healthy food again. Mel Cronshaw, Natural Clinical Nutrition , Calgary began my formal education in 2013 where I studied Health, Diet, and Nutritional Studies from Oxford College. After completion of the level 5 HND, Mel Cronshaw, Natural Clinical Nutrition , Calgary went on to study Nutritional Sciences at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I finished with a First Class Honours Degree with specialization in both clinical and sports nutrition. This allows me to cater to clients with complex needs in both areas.Mel Cronshaw, Natural Clinical Nutrition , Calgaryam currently a member of the British Nutrition Foundation and a registered Associate Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, the only register of Nutritionists recognized by the NHS and Public Health England. Mel Cronshaw, Natural Clinical Nutrition , Calgary cater to clients with a vast variety of health complaints from IBS to Type 2 Diabetes. Treatment usually involves thorough investigations into lifestyle, family history, medical history, and current/previous diet. This allows me to get to the root cause of many symptoms and enables me to create a plan that works for you, and fits into your lifestyle. Poor nutrition has been shown to be the main contributing factor in many conditions, and complaints including chronic fatigue, menopause symptoms, fertility issues, skin problems, low energy, digestive issues, and chronic disease. It is not uncommon for clients to reduce or even eliminate medications needed for a range of conditions with nutrition counselling. The human body is composed of countless systems to maintain health but if just one of these systems breaks down it has a knock-on effect on the rest of the body. Once that balance is restored, many complaints simply just resolve on their own. This is what we should ultimately see as “health care”.

Ginger is classified as a herbaceous perennial, meaning it has a non-woody stem that dies back at the end of the growing season but can regrow from the same root system year after year. The plant typically grows pseudostems, which are false stems made up of tightly packed rolled bases of leaves. These pseudostems can reach a height of around one meter (or approximately three feet).

The flowers of ginger emerge from the rhizome on separate shoots and are arranged in inflorescences. They typically have pale yellow petals with purple edges, adding a touch of color to the plant. However, it's worth noting that ginger is primarily cultivated for its underground rhizome rather than its flowers.

Due to its distinct flavor and aroma, ginger is a popular ingredient in many culinary dishes, including soups, stir-fries, curries, and baked goods. It is also commonly used in beverages like ginger tea and ginger ale. In addition to its culinary uses, ginger has been traditionally used to aid digestion, reduce inflammation, alleviate nausea, and promote overall well-being.
