My name is Margaret Holman and I grew up in a small village near Oxford, England. Initially I trained and worked as a Registered General Nurse and then as an Early Year Advisor in a variety of roles. These included the School Health Nursing team,establishing a baby unit at a new Day Care Centre, Deputy Manager of a Pre-school and Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. I trained as a Birth & Postpartum Doula with Nurturing Birth and DONA International and have had the privilege of supporting families during a unique and very special time in their lives. I am CAPPA trained Childbirth Educator and enjoy preparing families for the very special time in their lives. Many of the families have stayed in touch and send me photos and updates. I have experienced birth in two different countries: my son was born in England and my daugter in Ottawa, Canada. She is very proud to call herself Canadian.
