Dr Venance has no understanding of Myalgic Encephalomylitis(Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and clearly did not care to educate herself on the very extensive research that shows this to be a serious biological disease. Her medical assessment report had a number of inaccuracies, which she refused to correct and she is clearly above being corrected and asked to file an accurate facts based medical report. This unprofessional behaviour does harm to patients and should not be tolerated, but is.

Dr. Venance wrote personal comments in an assessment that were completely untrue and then refused to correct them. She stated that I did a lot of computer research to advocate for myself in the first paragraph of what was to be a Neurological consult after being advised that I had a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from a specialist and associate professor of the U of A. When advised I advised her that I only do research to become familiar with my diagnosis and that due to my extreme weakness, I needed to keep my mind active by learning new things on my computer. She stated she didn’t know much about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is a severely chronic dysfunction of the mitochondria causing your body to not be able to convert food into energy. It is extremely debilitating. She apparently cared more about maintaining her ignorance and discounting of this disease than to educate herself, for the benefit of her patients. The information from the National Institute of Heath and CDC and many other notable medical organizations is readily available. Doctors personal innuendos have no place in a scientific medical assessment that the taxpayers pay her to do. Shame on her.
