Dr. Sinclair has practiced at Downtown Core Chiropractic Centre since 1997. Darcie graduated in 1996 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto after earning an honours degree from Queen’s University in the Life Sciences program. Following an initial course of acupuncture study in Sri Lanka in 1994, she has furthered her study of acupuncture at both McMaster University in the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and at programs offered through CMCC and elsewhere. Darcie's unique combination of acupuncture training allows her to combine the most effective components of traditional acupuncture with a scientific, evidence-based approach, which she has found maximizes the effect of treatment for her patients. In conjunction with acupuncture and gentle joint manipulation, Darcie uses a wide range of soft tissue techniques to help her patients achieve their health and functional goals. While many of her patients work in an office environment and have high stress jobs, she also treats many weekend, amateur and elite athletes. She believes in creating a customized treatment plan for each individual with a focus on getting the patient back to what they want to do as soon as possible. Darcie believes that ongoing education, both as an educator and a student, is essential to providing excellent care to her patients. She is constantly striving to find new ways to help patients optimize their health and wellbeing.
