There are several things that can trigger the relapse of a mood episode in people with bipolar disorder.

These include things like stress in your life, using any recreational drugs can increase the risk of a relapse of a mood episode. So what you want to do is you want to make changes to your lifestyle, so that you minimize stress in your life.

Obviously, it’s not possible to eliminate stress in one’s life, so you want to try and minimize it. You also want to make sure that you stay away from recreational drugs. Healthy lifestyle choices can have a significant impact on improving outcome of a bipolar disorder.
