Preventing muscle pulls in soccer
Duration: 1 minute, 1 second

For soccer players trying to prevent muscle pulls from happening, ensuring an adequate warm up is very important including stretching, making sure that they are conditioned for their sport and they're not just jumping into a high level of activity without any prior training.

As well as ensuring that there are minimal muscle imbalances, so there's not any specific area in their lower body specifically that is really tight or really weak.

A physiotherapist can perform a physical assessment on a player as an individual to determine if they have any specific areas of weakness or tightness which can be targeted to help try to prevent muscle pulls as well as other injuries.

If soccer players have any additional questions about muscle pulls, prevention, treatment, and occurence they can speak to their physician and physiotherapist as well as potentially speaking to their coach.
