Dr. Vivian Hill Bio

Dr. Hill graduated from the University of Ottawa and completed Ophthalmology Residency there. She went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the University of Calgary. Her interests include pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus and double vision as well as advanced vision-safe medical esthetics. She has published on reducing vision threats of esthetics injectables. Her surgical focus is on strabismus in both children and adults of all ages.

She has directed the undergraduate medical school curriculum in ophthalmology at the Cumming School of Medicine for over ten years where she has received teaching and excellence the University of Calgary. She was awarded a Top 40 under 40 by Avenue magazine for her community and clinical work.

She is a longstanding examiner for both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as for the Licensure of the Medical Counsel of Canada.

She has been a longstanding member of the executive of the Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. She is the Chair of Advocacy Counsel of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society. However, Dr. Hill is likely best known for the personal care of her patients.
