MY STORY: I have been a fitness and sports enthusiast for more than 20 years and I worked in the field of Therapeutic Recreation for over 10 of those years. But, after giving birth to my second child, I found myself 20+ pounds overweight and in need of spinal surgery. I needed to get the weight off before the surgery, so I worked slowly within my limited abilities and used some sound nutritional choices and Isagenix to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. After the surgery and 3 months in a back brace, I started physiotherapy and my journey to full recovery. Once I had the go ahead to exercise a little more intensely, I made it my goal to keep the weight off and strengthen my core to protect my “new” back. I am always on the lookout for new challenges and opportunities, so as part of my journey, I took the steps to become a Certified Personal Trainer and Older Adult Fitness Specialist. With over 20 years of personal experience with cardiovascular and resistance training, I wanted to share the benefits with others. As a certified personal trainer it is my passion to enhance the health of as many people as possible.
