– Member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, Acupuncture Council of Ontario, Ontario Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Association – Graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and York University with Honors – Certified in Clinical Acupuncture from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College teaching Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Theory – Certified in Fitness Assessment & Exercise Counselling from York University – Former Certified Exercise Physiologist of the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology Dr. Terah Wong has extensive experience in the health care field, both personally and professionally, that dates back to his high school days where he engaged in various sports such as volleyball, basketball, hockey, soccer, track and field and dance. Numerous activity-related injuries and a thirst for knowledge lead him to the completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, at York University. There, working with cardiac patients, firefighter applicants and teaching students, he also completed his certificate of Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counselling. Thereafter, working as a Certified Exercise Physiologist, he has helped many people regain their independence and empowered them to change their lifestyles to maximize their health and performance. Dr. Terah knew that his knowledge was limited; wanting to care for his patients the correct way led him to the completion of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), Doctor of Chiropractic degree. There, he gained knowledge and insight from an academic community that genuinely cares about being the best and giving the best care to patients. He gained experience working in community health clinics serving the Cantonese-speaking population, the LGBTQ community and people with work or sport-related injuries of all ages. Furthermore, at CMCC Dr. Terah certified in clinical acupuncture based in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. Having both east and west knowledge systems of looking at the human body adds to the completeness of caring for his patients. While working concurrently during his academic career at various multidisciplinary clinics, in addition to having his injuries, he has a valuable understanding of the rehabilitative process.
