Dr. Stephen Mayall Bio

Clinic Owner / Chiropractor Dr. Steve Mayall My chiropractic career started after graduating in February 2000. Within a few years of practice I realized that the treatment skills I had learned in school weren’t producing the results espoused by my teachers. Naturally I questioned my skills and began exploring and learning techniques to improve outcomes for my clients. What became evident was that some techniques worked for certain clients but not for others. No matter how many techniques I employed the reality was clients were seeing only short term relief from their symptoms. This was not the miracle treatment that was promised during my education. After 12 years of practice my frustration and disenchantment with this approach had peaked which lead me to consider a change in career. It was around this time that I stumbled on to Advanced Bio-Structural Correction (ABC™). ABC™ is a form of structural body care that, in addition to relieving symptoms, begins to resolve the body’s structural imbalances that are responsible for symptoms. I was able to speak to a number of people who had experienced ABC™ treatment and heard remarkable stories of body symptom improvement in addition to resolution of long-standing body problems. I was intrigued and began receiving treatment. As I progressed through treatment I experienced many of the physical ups and downs that are expected with ABC™ as the body unwinds through previous accumulated injuries and compensations. Five years later I can honestly say that my body feels the best it has since I was a young adult. I can perform my work and engage in my workouts unhindered by body pain and dysfunction. Needless to say I began learning ABC™ immediately after my first treatment and rather than a change in career I experienced a renewal in my desire to help my clients resolve the body issues that plague them. It is sincerely a pleasure for me to help my clients achieve the relief they are seeking and I look forward to helping you.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
