Dr. King DC, MSc, CPT Dr. Shawn King grew up in Strathcona County, going to school in Sherwood Park and playing hockey for Strathcona. In addition to working in a clinical setting, Dr. King has worked with multiple sports teams in the field: Edmonton Clansman Rugby Club, Bev Facey High School Football, and currently works with the Strathcona Bruins Jr. Hockey Club, Sherwood Park Crusaders, and Riverhawk Baseball. He was also on a volunteer rotation for 5 years at the Boyle McAuley Center, as a chiropractor. Dr. King enjoys giving back to the community. Education His post secondary career started at NAIT in a 2 year Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma program. Dr. King then went to Grant MacEwan University for a Bachelor of Science. While at Grant MacEwan, Dr. King also played on the Men’s Hockey team and finished on the dean’s list for academics. After 3 years at MacEwan, Dr. King moved to Portland, Oregon and started his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the University of Western States. While attending UWS, Dr. King also enrolled in a Masters in Exercise and Sport Science program. Dr. King finished his Chiropractic program at the top of his class and graduated summa cum laude.
