Dr. Roy Xavier Rodrigues Bio

Doctor of Chiropractic Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy Member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association Member of the BC Chiropractic Association Roy is a chiropractor with 20 years experience. He grew up in an active family in Chase, B.C. The pursuit of optimum health and wellness were always a part of his upbringing which he shares in his treatment approach today. He obtained a Bachelor of Science with focus on Human Anatomy and Physiology. Further interest in conservative health-care and sports medicine motivated him to attend Parker College, in Dallas Texas, to obtain his Doctorate in Chiropractic. Roy primarily adjusts the traditional way, but also uses a variety of techniques ranging to very gentle approaches. These include the use of a drop table and an Arthrostim device, which delivers repetitive, low force thrusts to the spine. Roy has vast experience treating and setting up treatment regimes for ICBC clients. He is excited to be involved in a multidisciplinary clinic where treatment programs can involve a team approach. He has recently incorporated the use of a Myovision Surface Electromyography system in order to visually verify muscle guarding around the spine. In addition to being an experienced chiropractor, Roy specializes in orthotics, and his assessment is complemented with the use of a state of the art computerized gait analysis system. Roy is also one of our practitioners qualified to administer Laser and Shockwave therapy. Roy loves to travel and has worked in 3 countries as a chiropractor. The highlight of his career was working in Portugal for several years where we was instrumental in providing care to those in need, as well as introducing the specialty of chiropractic care to a country which previously had none. Outside of work Roy enjoys tennis, skiing, fishing, biking, going to the gym and spending time with his family. He is actively involved in both the Kamloops and Chase community, and is happy to be a member of the Kinetic Energy Healthcare Team. Roy is committed to providing the best chiropractic care tailored to each individuals needs in order to maximize their quality of life.
