My family dr retired and dr Pereira was the only family dr I could find. Due to anxiety,, panic attacks and horrible migraine headaches, the drs tried different medications which finally gave me some relief. My first appointment with dr Pereira he started trying to change my me medication, I asked him to please don’t change it, it took years to get where I am,he turned his head, looked at me and said,”you can always get another dr. So he changed them and the anxiety came back back worse than ever. My last visit with him I had been up for nights with a really strange headache, not like my migraines, I was so scared, thought I was maybe having a stroke . Next day I was standing at my sink, and I suddenly felt my legs go and I saw like bright lights. I went to the hospital and waited about 10 hours and got a scan. I went back to my family dr for the results and I told him that I had ran out of the pain killers, first time ever and I didn’t even ask ask for more, he told me this was unacceptable. I had a prescription bottle with me, the amount I could take,so I tried to show him the amount that he had put on the label, he said, “I don’t want to see that and through the bottle away! I said t him that I didn’t think he understood how painful this was, the answer I got was””Maybe I don’t! I walked out , feeling humiliated, tears in my eyes.
