Dr. Rebecca-Jane McAllister Chiropractor After completing her Bachelor of Human Kinetics Honours [Major: Movement Science Co-op & Minor: Psychology] degree (University of Windsor), Doctor of Chiropractic degree (Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College), and Contemporary Medical Acupuncture certification (McMaster University), Dr. McAllister has had a variety of diverse clinical experiences across the country, including in Prince Edward Island, Ontario, and now Alberta. Although Dr. McAllister treats a variety of musculoskeletal complaints and injuries, she finds helping people who are experiencing low back pain to be particularly rewarding. Dr. McAllister is currently one of four chiropractors in Calgary certified to offer the GLA:D Back Program, an international research study and program designed by researchers and therapists at the University of Southern Denmark in partnership with the University of Alberta, to help people with persistent or recurrent low back pain. Dr. McAllister believes it is imperative that her patients possess the self-confidence, and are equipped with the tools, to be active participants and self-advocates for their healthcare.
