Dr. Nick raises the bar in healthcare delivery across the province, and is passionate about getting people better, faster. Dr. Nick is the CEO of Choice Health Centre, a multi-disciplinary clinic with four locations across HRM, with a business model that offers a collaborative approach to a single client, which results in better health outcomes ultimately resulting in fewer unnecessary medical appointments, medications, injections, and surgeries. Dr. Nick, and his team of exceptional practitioners at Choice are on an unrelenting pursuit of patient results. In 2006, Dr. Nick sustained a hockey injury while attending university. Frustrated with the lack of progress he was experiencing during his rehab, he visited a nearby Chiropractor, where his recovery accelerated dramatically. It was then Dr. Nick first realized that if his therapists had been working together from the onset, he would have had results, even faster. This experience is what would later drive his passion to own and operate the largest clinician-owned multidisciplinary company in Nova Scotia. Dr. Nick was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in 2008 and from the New York Chiropractic College in 2012. After graduation, he returned to HRM and worked for two busy multidisciplinary clinics for 2 years, until Dr. Nick purchased Kinetesis Spine & Joint Clinic in 2014. Over time, Dr. Nick grew Kinetesis from a sole Chiropractor clinic to a complete multi-disciplinary company with a team of over 25 staff and clinicians over 2 locations. In 2021, Dr. Nick purchased the majority ownership of Choice Health Centre and partnered with Dr. Erin Kempt-Sutherland, a leading chiropractor in Nova Scotia who shares the same vision and passion.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.
For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.
Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.
Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
