We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

I am not pleased with my experience with this doctor. In fact I am infuriated. She did not have a diagnosis, but tried 3 several times, depending on which one she felt she had used the least often lately. What I noticed, is that they for sure all required the same medication to treat. She definitely had recommended the medication before she had made up her mind about anything, and then she ignored my initial complaints about it seeming to make things worse, not help. And she ignored all of my complaints about it from there on as well. Definitely with this doctor, the plan was just to get patients on a medication, and then make them keep coming to see her so they can get a prescription. I finally stopped seeing her altogether when I asked whether she would mind if I just got the medication from my gp. She told me it was absolutely not alright, and I had to get them from her. I knew to walk away because that was one hundred percent not right, and I did not have to get them from her at all. I looked in to it and my gp could write them. Don't pick this doctor or anyone in her office.

She was inconsiderate and pompous. She didn’t even listen to my concerns, she just doesn’t care about her patients as living, breathing people. She needs an attitude check and maybe a different carrier away from people who already have enough problems to deal with.
