Bipolar disorders are a type of mood disorder. There are several subtypes of bipolar disorders. The most common ones are Bipolar 1 and 2 disorders. These affect approximately 5 percent of the population, which means that we have about 1.5 million people with this condition in Canada. Bipolar disorder is a serious psychiatric condition.

We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

My time with Dr. Kasapi was really frustrating. When I tried to discuss complex issues with her, her responses were simplistic and redundant. She stated that I was experiencing "Existential angst," which is miles away from a medical diagnosis. I didn't feel like she was fully present with me at all and she seemed genuinely hurt when I told her that I felt I needed to see someone else. In any event, she and I weren't a match and I got much better help elsewhere.

“Dr. Kasapi” is the worst human being on earth. She must have looked at me, and saw I was a normal person, and decided to con me all the same. She had no heart. Sometimes she said there is nothing wrong with you, but I don’t care. I want you to be in the program. There was not really a reason, and I would say I was definitely being kidnapped. It was every meeting someone was trying to whisk me away to an institution as fast as possible. It was one of these things where someone wants to stay in your home while you are away. They were maybe planning for it to be a long time. I saw it written online that she had recently finished an undergraduate degree in Science. I read it from the UVic newspaper no less. She would probably deny it, but this was a fraud. What a bad experience.

Beware of fraud. This was not a smart person, and I have to say it was definitely not a doctor. Something was going very wrong in my life, as I was getting repeated hang up phone calls. She didn't see I knew it was her, because she was the only one who ever called me. The way she'd call me, it was the same as she called from the clinic number. She called, and if you didn't answer, she call again right after. And then she'd leave a voicemail. The call from other numbers were the exact same. And they had just left no message but just breathing on my voicemail. How often she called me, and the number of times she would call, led me to see she was a stalker. I started to keep an eye out, and the number of times I saw her in public, lurking around, was astounding. I could point her out more than once a week. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

I feared I would lose my grandson to his "treatment" under this doctor. It started with a simple phone call from St. Paul's Hospital, where he had a trip to a while before then, about whether there was anything he needed help with psychologically. The phone call turned into he had to get this help, and I told him to go. I didn't know how it was going, but he seemed to be getting despondent. And when I asked him about it finally, I could tell she was completely abusing him. And she had told him he had a serious disease, implied to him he wouldn't be able to live his life well enough to even survive. And there was nothing wrong with him! I had thought maybe he could use some life advice, but he had not needed anything she said he needed. Terrible!

I was really scared because every time I would go in she would give me this questionnaire for like if I was in a crisis. And every time I would get my answers back backwards, so that I tested like I was in a complete crisis. All of the sudden she would say I have to listen to her and do exactly what she said, or I’d have to leave my home and be in the hospital. It was all a horrifying nightmare. I guess if someone tells you you’re dying, or you’re suddenly breaking down, like even physically, they’re definitely lying.

This lady was not honest with herself. She had not been able to speak properly, and it was disconcerting, to say the least. There were grammatical errors in half the things she said, but it was hard to catch her, because she seemed to have been in the habit of passing everything off as colloquial. She sometimes even made-up words. She also had a problem with lying. She would promise she would do something for you, and then she would refuse to do it. She told me many times she wouldn’t contact anyone I knew or reveal personal information. But she told my boyfriend everything about my treatment, and even told him he needed to be concerned for his safety. She committed a crime, and I would like to see her held accountable in the future. I couldn’t criticize her, and she wouldn’t change her opinions. She would punish me with pills and commission. Just goes to show you might run into a mad lady in a mental health clinic.

This person had completely ruined my life. At one point, my reaction to the medication she prescribed was so severe I had contacted my family doctor from home, sure I would die. He told me to stop taking it immediately. But when she heard about it, she immediately committed me and they made me take it even though I would scream in pain. They eventually switched me to something else, but until the end she recommended this strange medication which she had no affiliation with. The signs were there all along that she was no doctor. She kept talking to herself, and when I was speaking, she would keep trying to screw me up, like I had not heard her. One time I called her, and I have never heard someone speak faster. She obviously was faking she was smart, and she not knew she had ran all her words so they made no sense. Sometimes she asked me if I was going to pay her and I suspected she was even on drugs. I clearly only paid through msp. I not even receive a bill. Don't choose this doctor ever would be my advice.

This was just a strange lady that pretended she was doctor. She talked inaudibly, and often spoke to herself. And there was so many grammar mistakes in everything she was saying, you thought you might as well just not mention it to her. What a kook.
