Dr Marie-Lyne Bélair completed her medical studies as well as her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Montreal. She then completed a subspecialty in uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore (USA). Since 2006, Dr Bélair has been practicing clinical and surgical ophthalmology at the Center Universitaire d’Ophtalmologie de l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. Dr Bélair participates in several research projects in uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases. She has written several articles in scientific journals and made numerous presentations at local and international conferences. She is also an assistant professor in the department of ophthalmology at the Université de Montréal and actively participates in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows in ophthalmology. She is also passionate about general ophthalmology and cataract surgery. Dr Bélair is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the Canadian Ophthalmological Association (COS).
