Dr. Luke Leggo's journey into the field of rehabilitation medicine was sparked by his active involvement in various sports, particularly hockey, while growing up in Drayton Valley, AB. This passion for sports and interest in helping others led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta, where he graduated with distinction in 2015. After gaining experience as a performance trainer and participating in research for two years, Dr. Leggo furthered his education by moving to Toronto to complete the four-year Doctor of Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). He excelled in his studies and graduated from CMCC with Summa Cum Laude honors, receiving recognition as the class valedictorian. Driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, Dr. Leggo actively seeks educational opportunities to enhance his knowledge and skills for the benefit of his patients. He is a certified Functional Acupuncture provider and a Canadian Red Cross First Responder. Additionally, he has completed the Complete Concussion Management training for healthcare providers and is currently pursuing the ALTIS: Performance Therapy course, delving into the complexities of the elite sporting environment. Dr. Leggo adopts an active and personalized approach to patient care, believing in the importance of empowering his patients to understand their injuries better and providing them with the tools and confidence to manage their conditions themselves. Collaborating with his patients, he designs individualized treatment plans tailored to help them achieve their specific goals. His treatment approach encompasses a blend of multiple strategies, with each session typically involving exercises, patient education, and passive therapies like soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization/manipulation, and acupuncture.
