A Message from Dr. Lardi
Burlington Chiropractor, Laura Lardi
Welcome to Evolve Chiropractic Wellness Studio – Dr. Laura Lardi, DC! I look forward to meeting you and helping you and your family in your journey toward better health.
My journey began with a personal interest in health and fitness, which led me to pursue a degree in science, specializing in kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. As a co-op student, I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of health-related fields. I quickly decided that natural health was going to be my focus.
My belief is that if given the opportunity, the body will heal itself. As such, natural alternatives to health issues should always be considered first. Chiropractic made sense to me.
A Comprehensive Wellness Lifestyle
While I studied chiropractic, I worked as a fitness supervisor and personal trainer helping clients evolve toward their optimum level of fitness. In practice, I continue to be passionate about educating patients on the importance of proper nutrition, exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. The approach is holistic, and the journey is about evolving toward optimal health and well-being.
Helping All Musculoskeletal Conditions
Upon receiving my Doctor of Chiropractic in 2004, I went on to practice in the Niagara area. Armed with training in contemporary medical acupuncture and Active Release Techniques®, I became well versed in treating musculoskeletal disorders related to the spine, nervous system and joints. I also worked with athletes helping them improve biomechanical function and enhance their overall conditioning and performance.
Travelling and Practicing Internationally
A few years into practice, my “travel bug” set in and I moved to Australia. This experience was invaluable both personally and professionally. Travelling throughout Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Southeast Asia was a true personal growth experience. Professionally, the opportunity to run a wonderful wellness chiropractic practice focused on families and children allowed my understanding of the amazing potential of chiropractic to evolve.
Seeing Children’s Amazing Responses
The results achieved with children under my care were eye opening. A child taking asthma medication was able to discontinue use of “puffers” after starting chiropractic care. Colicky babies would settle and become calm once I started adjusting them. A child suffering from chronic ear infections was able to avoid tubal surgery once he began chiropractic care. Dramatic, visible changes were demonstrated in a young girl’s scoliosis and elimination of her associated pain.
It was clear that while chiropractic care is very effective for back pain, neck pain, headaches and sports injuries, it is so much more than that!
Returning Home to Care for Families
Upon returning to Canada, I became member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. I completed advanced training in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic care and became certified in Webster Technique (a prenatal technique to reduce intrauterine constraint and encourage optimal fetal positioning).
Armed with a full toolbox and a holistic approach to wellness, I am committed to providing you and your family quality care and a positive experience, to help you get well and stay well. Further, I am passionate about educating the community on health and wellness through interactive wellness workshops, seminars and community events.
I look forward to helping you evolve toward optimal health and wellness!
Yours in Health,
Dr. Laura Lardi, B.Sc., D.C.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.
For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.
Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.
Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
