Dr. Kumar Ramlall is a Pediatric Respirologist with particular expertise in Allergy (both Adult and Pediatric), Asthma, and Sleep Medicine including Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Ramlall completed undergraduate training in both the USA and Canada before medical school at McMaster University, Ontario. Thereafter, he trained in Pediatrics along with one year in Allergy and Adult Respirology at McMaster University before completing his Pediatric Respirology and Sleep training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
He is the former Chair of the Royal College Examination Board in his sub-specialty. He was an Associate Clinical Professor at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary and at the University of Saskatchewan before moving to Edmonton.
He was the first and only Pediatric Respirologist in Saskatchewan where he set up an exemplary provincial clinical program.
He has won University wide Residency teaching awards, was the Pediatric Residency Program Director in Saskatoon, and is recognized nationally as an outstanding educator in his field.
