Dr. Kevin Deonarine graduated New York Chiropractic College in 2002 with Magna Cum Laude honours. Since then he has focused his continued education on sports specific therapies and methods to correct biomechanical dysfunction, optimize performance and avoid re-injury. Following the Functional Integrated Therapy approach he utilizes a number of soft tissue techniques in addition to medical acupuncture, NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT), Anatomy in Motion (Aim), instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), proprioceptive taping, shockwave therapy and joint manipulation. He is a certified Active Release Technique provider and has been using ART for close to 20 years. He completed the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and continued as an instructor in the program for nearly 10 years. In practice Kevin continues to work privately with numerous professional athletes from the NHL, CFL and AHL. He has been a staff consultant to the Maple Leafs AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies hockey team and currently is part of the Gary Roberts High Performance Training staff, working with NHL players through their off season training to help improve performance.
