Dr. John-David Kato Bio

"JD" Kato is a registered doctor of chiropractic in Ontario. He has been a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario College of Chiropractors of Ontario since 2006. His evidenced-based practice integrates science on exercise (rehabilitation, aerobic conditioning, strengthening, flexibility), chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue massage, physical modalities (eg. ultrasound, etc.), custom foot orthotics as well as practical advice on exercise biomechanics (proper carrying/lifting to prevent back pain), nutrition, work ergonomics, and other lifestyle interventions. In addition to being a doctor of chiropractic, he holds the highest-level certifications in Canada and the U.S. for exercise for health, fitness and therapy for medical conditions. Specifically these are the American College of Sports Medicine: Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology: Clinical Exercise Physiologist. He is also certifed as a diabetes educator though the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certifcation Board. JD currently works in the interdisciplinary Cardiac Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre at Trillium Health Partners. He also sees patients privately from his office at home, which is located near Danforth and Woodbine Avenues in Toronto.
