Dr. Jennie Stepney Bio

Dr. Jennie Stepney has seen a chiropractor since she was about 5 years old. “I grew up knowing that chiropractic was a career path that interested me. I always knew I wanted to work with children and watch them grow up healthy without medical-assisted interventions like drugs or surgery.” Dr. Jennie attended the University of Wisconsin Madison before moving to Minnesota to pursue her dream of becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Jennie received her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington Minnesota. “I was surprised to learn that our bodies are equipped with everything they need to heal, and how chiropractic naturally assists this process. Our incredible bodies can take care of themselves.” Chiropractic college was a great experience for Dr. Jennie. Although learning to change lives and help people regain their health naturally was most important, she explains that the biggest highlight of her college career was meeting her husband, Dr. Kris! Additionally, Dr. Jennie is working towards a certification from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), and loves seeing our young patients come in for care. Dr. Jennie spends most of her time at home now, with her 2 children, Clara and Holden. Together they enjoy biking, going to the zoo, and reading books. The kids love to make trips to the office to see daddy at work and get adjusted. Dr Jennie always looks forward to her days at the clinic seeing her patients. It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
