  I don’t usually leave reviews, but Jason Krowitz should not be allowed to call himself a doctor. He is rude and condescending to patients, and treats nurses like dirt. He misdiagnosed me twice and sent me home without the medication that could have cured me faster. By the time I got a follow up appointment with my GP I had a horrible infection that took months to recover from. I will be contacting the people in charge at Powell River General and hope they take steps to remove this awful doctor. In the meantime, if you go to emergency and he’s on duty I suggest you leave and come back when another doctor is there. Otherwise you’re taking your life into your hands. I wouldn’t trust Jason Krowitz to treat my dog.

  Jason Krowitz is an insult to the profession of physicians. He lacks deduction skills, empathy, listening, epistemic humility, and any professional bedside manner. He refused to listen to my experience and my knowledge of my own health. He told me "this isn't an emergency" despite it being my GP who had sent me there with clear instructions on what to do - he refused to do the test that I had been sent for. He was aggressive and seemed to take pleasure in humiliating me. I wondered if had to do with me being a woman, with a chronic illness as well. He refused to continue to talk to me and left the room when I was in mid-sentence. I had to leave the hospital in complete pain with no real resolution beyond what I had already been trying at home. A complete disgrace to the medical profession. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

  I saw Dr. Krowitz in emergency for issues related to chronic pain. He came into the room, did not look at me, or introduce himself and he told me that he was an emergency room doctor and me being in so much pain that I was crying and needed a CT "was not an emergency" and that "everything was normal". I left with an IV in my hand after telling him that he was the reason why people in pain killed themselves, and in fact I attempted suicide 8 days later due to my pain and feeling like no one believed me or would help me. He has no bedside manner and it is clear that he does not believe people with chronic pain....especially women, I'm guessing. I would rate him 0 stars if I could, you're supposed to "first do no harm" and I found him to be very callous and harmful. I am lucky to be alive and hope I never have to deal with anyone like him again. Invisible illnesses are still illnesses and people like Dr. Krowitz need to get up-to-date training and information on sensitivity and BELIEVING patients.

  I went into the emergency department , of Powell river general hospital , and seen dr Jason krowitz, he saw me checked what was an obvious redness of my skin on my arm , he quickly diagnosed me as having scabies , in my opinion this dr is a quack and anyone seeing him in pr general beware , he in my opinion again , is a looser .
