Dr. Harold Meinzer Bio

Dr. Harold S. Meinzer is a chiropractor originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He grew up with one older brother and two younger sisters, all of whom are chiropractors as well. During high school, Dr. Meinzer excelled in sports and played soccer at the highest level, representing the U18 Provincial Select team and the U21 Western Summer Games team. After completing his studies at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Meinzer decided to pursue his chiropractic degree in Atlanta, Georgia, with the encouragement of his brother and support from his parents. The four years in Atlanta provided a welcomed escape from the harsh Winnipeg winters, and during this time, he not only focused on his studies but also won two state soccer championships and played on the Georgia State Select team. Upon graduating, Dr. Meinzer moved to South Granville, British Columbia, and started practicing alongside his older brother. In 1999, he established a multidisciplinary Wellness Centre in Langley, where he treated families and athletes of all ages. Notably, Dr. Meinzer and his brother had the privilege of providing chiropractic care to the Ballet BC Dance Company for the past ten years, marveling at the dancers' abilities to push their bodies to the limits. As part of his commitment to serving the community and athletes, Dr. Meinzer joined the Langley Rivermen hockey team in 2013 as their team chiropractor, helping the players stay healthy and perform at their best. Dr. Meinzer believes in utilizing a diverse set of techniques to address his patients' health problems efficiently. He incorporates various soft tissue and adjusting techniques, and for the past five years, he has been using hot & cold laser therapy with remarkable results. The demand for this therapy has led him to bring on a Laser Tech to assist with treatments. His dedication and expertise have been recognized in the form of accolades. Dr. Meinzer has been named in the "BEST OF VANCOUVER" awards twice, securing the 3rd place in 2013 and 2014, and 1st place in the 2014 Westender Awards. In January 2015, Dr. Harold S. Meinzer planned to expand and work alongside his brother again at a new Vancouver office, undoubtedly continuing to provide exceptional chiropractic care to his patients and community.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
