Dr. Emily Nicol's journey from Kelowna to becoming a chiropractor has been shaped by her passion for helping others and her love for sports. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria, she realized that working directly with people was her true calling. During her time at UVic, Dr. Emily also excelled in golf and was part of the varsity golf team, even serving as the women's team captain in her final year. To pursue her aspiration of working in healthcare, she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic with cum laude honors. Dr. Emily's approach to care is evidence-based and diversified, utilizing techniques such as Manual therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, Active Release Technique, and Activator method. Additionally, she is Webster certified, allowing her to provide prenatal care, and she enjoys working with pediatric patients. Dr. Emily believes that chiropractic care is not just about treating specific conditions but promoting overall wellness and a healthy lifestyle for the entire body. After relocating back to Kelowna, she has been able to further develop her professional skills while also giving back to the community through volunteering, including serving as an assistant coach for the UBCO women's golf team. In her free time, she continues to be an active participant in various seasonal sports, embracing the lifestyle of a "weekend warrior."
