Dr. McAlpine has a special interest in the management of dance-related injuries and injury prevention in performing artists. She developed a screening tool, with Healthy Dancer Canada, to help prevent injuries in dancers and has worked with performers of all ages and skill levels, including providing care for the dancers of Canada's Ballet Jorgen. Additionally, she has an extensive history in working with athletes and sports teams at both the professional and recreational levels, and has significant experience with post concussion rehabilitation and assisting athletes with returning to play after head injuries.
