My regular Dr wasn’t available and I got to see Dr Gayed. He was a very knowledgeable and professional. He asked questions, listened to me and provided me with information and next steps. He impressed me when he called, right on time, for the follow ip appointment. Overall, I had a very good experience with Dr Alaa Gayed. I was also very thankful to the clinic that booked me an appointment with an great Dr at such short notice.

( I accidentally selected the wrong number of stars on the previous comment). Dr. Gayed is extremely helpful and knows what he is doing. He is very straight to the point and adresses my concerns with a high degree of professionalism. I think the problem with most of these reviews are that people are expecting to get 3-4 concerns addressed in one visit/ phone call. We, as patients, should be more realistic and understanding that doctors only have so much time to help us in one visit. We need to prioritize 1-2 main concerns each visit and come back for another visit whenever possible to address the rest. Dr. Gayed is my entire family’s family doctor and I trust his judgement when it comes to our well-being. I would highly recommend him as your family doctor.

I am writing to express my concern about my recent interaction with Dr. Gayed at Care Point Clinic. During a phone appointment, I found the doctor to be rude and unprofessional. He dismissed my concerns and the suggestions of my therapist, and displayed a lack of empathy and understanding towards my situation. Dr. Gayed also prescribed medication without considering other options and refused to allow me more than a two-week leave, despite the recommendation of my therapist. I believe that Dr. Gayed's behavior is unprofessional and harmful, and I am disappointed with the healthcare system in Canada for allowing such conduct. I encourage others to speak up and report instances of unprofessional behavior in order to protect the safety and well-being of patients. To report this doctor in British Columbia, you can contact the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. It is important to document your experience and include as much detail as possible in your complaint. I hope that my complaint is successfully resolved and that appropriate action is taken to ensure that doctors like Dr. Gayed are held to the highest professional standards

I would give ZERO if that was an option. I think I understand why subpar doctors like Dr Gayed can practice medicine in BC. All thanks to the crisis and shortage people like himself can provide third grade care to patients in need. I went in with my husband (we suffered from a mini stroke 2 days prior) to do a follow up as per the emergency doctors’ suggestion. We had all paperwork which outlines what was done and what was not while my husband was in emergency. Bad luck for us our family doctor of years has cut us off as we moved cities and have been on the hunt for a doctor since 2021. Obviously, there was no choice for us to pick and chose who to see as this was a walk-in. After a 40 min wait at the Willoughby Medical Centre, he spent 5 mins with us. 95% of that time the doctor spent on relaying unsolicited advice on how to get a family doctor in a condescending (without knowing or asking if we had tried) tone followed by him is only there for 5 hrs and not taking any patients. Though he was never asked about that, and frankly i would rather stay without a family doctor than have him as one. After which he finally decided to practice what he went to school for and was kind enough to ask why we were there. within 10 seconds (without reading the detailed note from emergency) he kept saying, "He does not know what's going on”, reminded me of my 5-year-old when asked about a mess she created. Almost comical. His entire body language relayed a sense of “I am not responsible for anything”- if he had read the note clearly, he would know none of this was warranted and we had only gone in to get a requisition for a follow up ultrasound. To all the sub-par, third grade doctors out there-- your salary comes from us somehow (whether its taxes or historical MSP) so please STOP acting like you are doing us a favor and are allowed to act like a clown when you are a doctor- a profession you have entered at your own will and admission. You are stressed that’s why you act like this? Go see a psychologist and get therapy. There is no favour in providing this level of care in the name or care. Good for you that you have skimmed your way into practicing in a first world country which you most certainly DO NOT deserve!

Dr. Gayed’s medical knowledge is outstanding. He is not only professional but truly knows his stuff. I have seen Dr Gayed around 3 times. Every time I would talk to him, you could tell that he was giving the best medical care he could provide me. I don’t quite understand where all of these negative comments are coming from. I now understand why many doctors are choosing to leave the profession, not only because of the pay but also because of the constant demands from patients. We should support all of our doctors and understand that they are already under immense amounts of pressure. It is in our best interest to watch out for those who provide for us medically as they do for us. We don’t want to put more pressure on healthcare workers and the already collapsing medical system.

Rude, condescending, arrogant. Find somebody else. He is in business only because Canada has a shortage of doctors, otherwise he would be unemployed.

By far the rudest Dr I have ever dealt with. I have herniated and torn discs in my back that I have had surgery on. He started the conversation with "Don't you know how to answer your phone or use your phone properly" then, only to be denied my regular medication and told me that there is nothing wrong with my back. He was condescending and interrupted me without hearing anything I had to say. He is a fill in for my GP at Willoughby Medical and will be filling a formal complaint about his unprofessional behavior, wrongful diagnosis, and denying a patient their regular medications.

Took my daughter to Willoughby walk-in clinic (Langley) with a sore throat and watery eyes. This doctor seemed very disinterested. Abrupt in his approach, no eye contact (not even to check symptoms). Took little info, but quickly pushed antibiotics, kept saying he is not usually here, so don't come back and talk to him (not that I asked) treated me like he was bothered that I was there. Very unimpressed with this doctor.

I went in with recurring severe stomach pain. He wouldn’t even examine me. Gave me a sample package of Advil. I noticed he was giving everyone he saw sample packages. He could not have shown less interest or concern. Horrible dr.

A very different experience with this dr. then what I've had with the other drs. in that clinic. I have always had excellent care there. This doctor never made eye contact once. He spoke to me while looking at his computer. I didn't feel heard at all. I went in with the worst sore throat of my life.. unable to swallow or eat for days taking numerous analgesics.. and he mumbled something about bronchitis.
