Respirologists

A respirologist, sometimes referred to as a pulmonologist, is a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of lung disease. Respirologists work with patients who have a wide variety of conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis and emphysema. In treating patients a respirologist can also educate them on bronchoscopy, breathing tests, sleep apnea, smoking cessation, lung cancer, tuberculosis, complicated chest infections, intubation, breathing exercises and sputum samples.
