A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a dental provider places in the jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. A patient may require a dental implant due to injury, illness or periodontal disease. Types of dental implants include endosteal (in the bone), which is placed into the jawbone, and subperiosteal (on the bone), which is placed on top of the jaw. The physicians are in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and are in good standing with the Canadian Cardiovascular Association and the Canadian Medical Association
