Nargis received her Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of London in England in 1975. She moved to Canada later that year and started practicing as a staff pharmacist in Vancouver General Hospital in 1978. During her more than 30 years in hospital pharmacy, Nargis has been involved in a variety of duties that included being a pain management specialist for palliative patients and working as an out-patient pharmacist specializing in organ transplantation. She also held the position of Manager of the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre Pharmacy for 7 years where she coordinated the Pharmacy Residency program. Since 2000, Nargis has worked part-time at Kerrisdale Pharmacy's West Vancouver location (Hollyburn Pharmacy) and is now also working part-time at Kerrisdale Pharmacy. She continues to be tirelessly dedicated to the practice of pharmacy at both the Kerrisdale and Hollyburn locations.
