Josh grew up in Edmonton playing hockey, soccer and skiing. After moving to beautiful British Columbia just before high school Josh added lacrosse, rugby, volleyball, skateboarding and snowboarding to his list of sports. This multi-sport approach to athleticism led Josh to attending UBC to study Physical Education (curriculum development and motor learning) and Human Performance (athletic development).

After graduating in 2006 Josh began working as a strength and conditioning coach. He has worked with high school, professional and recreational adult athletes in private, group, team and return to play settings. Highlights include coaching athletes who have competed in the NLL, MLB, UFC, WHL, NCAA and Paralympics. Other professional highlights include facilitating work-integrated learning opportunities for future strength and conditioning coaches attending SFU and UBC.
