Mississauga Chiropractor : Dr. Vince Sinclair Dr. Vince Sinclair, Chiropractor Mississauga Dr. Vince Sinclair My Journey Towards Chiropractic “Unfortunately I can’t share with you a warm, fuzzy testimonial about how I became a chiropractor, but I knew all along that I wanted to pursue a career in health care.” After completing his undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, Dr. Sinclair was hired by the then-largest pharmaceutical company in the world, and soon became disillusioned with the industry and resumed his search for a career in health care. At about the same time he met Dr. Verne Thompson, a chiropractor, who inspired him to explore the chiropractic profession. With little knowledge about this unique approach to health and with a leap of faith, he completed the rigorous four year professional degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1977 and opened his practice at it’s present location. Dr. Sinclair contends that there is a unique aspect that sets chiropractic apart from all other health care providers. He explains, “the nervous system controls body functions better without interference and the body inherently knows how to work properly, as long as nothing messes up it’s control system. Antidotes to this interference would be eating well, moving well and thinking well, at the same time, all of the time.” And while Dr. Sinclair admits that this is no easy task for even himself, he does promote four fundamental principles with his patients: The body is a self-healing, self-regulating organism. The nervous system is the master controlling and coordinating system of the body. Anything that interferes with normal nerve function, like a subluxation, is bad. Anything that reduces disturbance in the nervous system, like an adjustment, is good.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
