Dr. Alexander Angel Bio

Alex Angel received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree after graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Additionally, Dr. Angel is certified in Webster Technique prenatal care by the ICPA, and is certified in Western Medical Acupuncture. When Alex isn’t helping patients, you might spot him jogging with his dog Loki, trying not to step on his wife Sarah’s toes at Salsa dance classes, or practicing his mad scientist impression while brewing beer at home. Alex became a Chiropractor after his friend was injured in a car accident. He watched his friend go from a healthy, athletic man to a shell of himself. Taking morphine tablets every day, barely able to move, and unable to sleep because of the pain, he has almost lost hope. In desperation, he started seeing a Chiropractor. The change that came with working with a Chiropractor was dramatic; after a few weeks, he could sleep through the night. After a few months, he was a new man. Taking his friend for treatments, Alex saw patients enter the clinic moving stiffly and cringing in pain. When he saw them leave, they were smiling and moving easily. He was moved by what he saw. Alex asked the Doctor there about what he did, and was offered a tour of the Chiropractic College in which he taught. The rest is history! Wondering why you should come see Alex? Because he will get you the help you need, no matter what the issue is. If you are suffering from something that can be fixed with hands-on therapy, electrical modalities, acupuncture or rehabilitative exercises, he will get you better. If he recognizes that you would be better served by another specialist, he will send you to them. Above all, he is in the service of his patients. It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
