Following that, he pursued specialized training in ophthalmology through a residency program at the University of British Columbia (UBC), which he completed in 2013. Seeking further expertise in glaucoma, he traveled to Sydney, Australia, where Dr. Steven Schendel , Ophthalmologist, Vancouver   completed a glaucoma fellowship at the renowned Sydney Eye Hospital under the guidance of Dr. Ivan Goldberg. We call this change in the lens a “cataract”.

Fortunately, cataracts are treatable through surgery. During cataract surgery, the clouded lens is removed and replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is highly successful in restoring clear vision for most people, allowing them to see more clearly and improve their quality of life.

    the worst and most unprofessional clinic I have ever been to. I closed my clinic to go to my 1:45 appointment and paid $20 Uber only to get there and find out they were running over an hour behind. Front girls are rude an unapologetic. As a health care professional myself this is just unacceptable not respecting other people time. I guess they expected me to leave my own patients hanging while I sat there. I left and will be getting a new referral to a more professional clinic that respects my time.They had no problem emailing, calling and texting me about 5 reminders but dont have the common courtesy to give the heads up they are behind. I asked the girl 3 times how far behind before she stopped saying they got started late and finally said over an hour. they could have cared less. I have brought this to the referring Dr and told them to not refer there anymore due to the lack of respect for peoples time

    After 2 days of tests, I was told to rebook in a year. No diagnosis was given except by the receptionist on my way out (handout contained information on angle closure glaucoma) I was surprised when I read it, and upset that the doctor didn't take the time to discuss the diagnosis with me, or even give it, what the long term effects might be, or what future treatment might include. Why not worry about it for another year? I am extremely uncomfortable that these questions I have won't be answered, and now I need to try to get a second opinion so I can have 5 minutes speaking with a doctor
