Dr. Sammy Chan Clinical Associate Professor Dr. Sammy Chan completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of British Columbia. He has also additional postgraduate cardiology training at the University of Alberta, echocardiography training at the University of Alberta, research nuclear cardiology at University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a clinical cardiologist and the medical director of the Healthy Heart Program at St. Paul’s Hospital. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia. His current clinical and research interests include primary and secondary cardiac prevention, exercise training methodology, alternative dietary approaches, stress management, determinants of lifestyle modification, endothelial function, subclinical atherosclerosis, refractory angina and molecular approaches to diagnosis and management of coronary atherosclerosis.
