Dr. Robert N Bilow Bio

Meet Dr. Robert Bilow Dr. Robert BilowDr. Robert Bilow has been a chiropractic practitioner since 2016 and worked throughout Barrie, Toronto, Etobicoke, Brampton, Oakville and Vaughan. During this time, he has had experience working with a large variety of clientele, including expectant mothers, youth, elderly, athletes, weekend warriors, and homeless or under-housed. This is where he developed the core belief that there is no such thing as a one-size fits all approach to healthcare. Different people have different problems and, naturally, those require different approaches to care. No high-pressure sales tactics, no hurried appointments and no double booking. Dr. Robert Bilow has always preferred a professional, honest, and expertly informed approach to care that you would be happy to recommend to your own family and friends. A careful blending of patient expectations with up-to-date professional knowledge and understanding helps provide his patients with the best possible outcomes. Dr. Bilow frequently uses a combination of chiropractic adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapies (both manual or instrument-assisted), clinical acupuncture, athletic taping, and a variety of electrical modalities for the best therapeutic effects. He is also a firm believer that no treatment plan is complete without movement-based therapy. Dr. Bilow will often rely on functional movement assessments and physical examination to isolate problem movements and provide exercise prescriptions to match those specific shortcomings. EXPLORE OUR SERVICES » Educational Background Dr. Robert Bilow began his education at York University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree (with Honors) specializing in Kinesiology or the study of human movement. During his final year as an intern, he also completed his training to become certified as an acupuncture provider. Since his formal education, he has completed training and currently has certificates in SFMA level 1, Immaculate Dissection: Neck, Jaw and Hand concepts, as well as Clinical Acupuncture.

It's great that you're considering chiropractic care for various conditions. Chiropractors can indeed provide treatments to address neuromusculoskeletal issues, including those related to scoliosis, hip and pelvis pain, and shoulder arthritis. However, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a local chiropractor, to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your specific situation.

For scoliosis, chiropractic care may involve spinal adjustments and exercises aimed at improving posture and reducing spinal curvature. A chiropractor can assess the severity of scoliosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

In the case of hip and pelvis pain, chiropractors can assess the underlying cause of the pain and provide treatments such as spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and other modalities to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.

Regarding shoulder arthritis, chiropractors may offer non-surgical treatment options to help manage the condition. These options can include rest, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs), chiropractic adjustments to improve range of motion, corticosteroid injections, and heat/cold therapy. However, the specific treatment plan would depend on the individual's condition and should be discussed with a chiropractor.

Remember, while chiropractic care can be beneficial for many individuals, it's important to have a thorough evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional to ensure that the treatments are appropriate for your specific needs. Consulting with a local chiropractor would allow you to discuss your condition in detail and determine the best course of action.
